The current recession in the country motivated several people to change their current career course or forego another career in order to find a much stable career jobs that are quite suited to their financial need and as well to their chosen profession. With that, the health care field was been able to manage to get out from the worst storm of economic challenge and become one of the reason why there are several individuals who shifted their careers or even obtain another career course particularly choosing healthcare field. As of now, the nursing school of Salt Lake Community College had already become one of the popular choices among those individuals who are looking for stability in their career course. Nursing course program become a huge demand in the healthcare system in the country and even recession has nothing to do with opening several job vacancies for nursing field or profession in the different healthcare institutes especially to the different hospitals in the United States.

The current nursing shortage in the country created a huge demand for several individuals to gain a secure job employment as long they will be obtaining nursing course program. With that, it motivates several learners to forego a nursing career education. According to Dr. Joyce Barra who is the current division chair of nursing program at this S.L.C.C. stated that economic recession provides solution in easing up the nursing shortage in the country. Since, those people who haven’t gained any employment are returning to school and forego a nursing education whether as being part time or full time student. But Dr. Barra stated that things will be changing once the economy will be rebounding. With that, the college schools are now trying to admit several learners into their nursing program. Currently, the Salt Lake Community College got some budget in order to fund several faculty positions. As a result, they can only admit limited numbers of learners. As of now, the school is looking some other options in order to fill this need.

Last year, Salt Lake Community College had just started an online program just this last semester. Since, there are looking for some venue in changing the curriculum in order for those nursing learners who got a full time jobs be still be able to study as part time learners. Regardless of what kind of route that you’ll be taking, it’s quite necessary to first complete this number of prerequisites that includes the human anatomy and even chemistry. Once, the nursing campus schools especially Salt Lake Community had already accepted the requirements, there’s a need to wait for about two or three years in order to step foot into classroom setting lectures. Since, the coursework is combine two setting which is working inside the classroom and doing clinical work in the different hospital or serve as an assistant living facility.
