Assembly Bill 1295 that been passed in the United States requires the California Community Colleges together with the California State University to improve and continually implement the transfer pathway between this Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) programs and as well the Bachelor’s of Science Nursing (BSN) program in order to eliminate the duplicate course work programs. In this CSU bachelor’s degree level, there is already a quite standardization for its recognition the ADN content. Since, lacking of common nursing transfer pathway can lead several nursing learners to take into account the duplicative and even unnecessary course work programs that continually prolong the degree of finishing it and increases the educational expenditures costs of both the learners and the State.

This five story building of 550 N third St is considered as the  2nd Phoenix building for  College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation. During the time when the downtown campus had already opened last 2006, the educational learning institutes have already moved from the Tempe into its renovated office building at 500N Third St.

However, the 500N Third St. does not have classroom either downtown classrooms that are quite near for its capacity. Even the looming budget cuts won’t be able to resolve the space crunch based on the Arizona State University officials. Even though that the nursing educational learning institutes have plan to cuts the admission through the 26 percent beginning this fail other than the Arizona State University  is being consolidated into its nursing educational learning institutes based on the statement of spokesman of nursing school who is Terry Olbrysh. This new and latest nursing school building sits at its intersection where in several drivers may enter the downtown campus. As of now, most nurses dean have already seen some resolution that can be done in order to increase the nursing teachers or nursing faculty members in the different nursing schools in the country. As different nursing deans that came from different nursing schools in United States conducted an annual conference, they have tackle lots of strategies in order to lift up the nursing teachers. One of the main aspects that they have seen is the visibility and support of scholarship program and even the grant program. If it can be utilize to several deserving teachers, it could help a lot in order to make the nursing teachers obtain a masters or even doctorate continuing education. Nursing teachers are one of the top priority that nursing schools and even government in the country is seeing into due to the fact that nurses are very much in demand especially for the coming years and without an enough nursing teachers there will be no enough support that nursing learners will be getting as they will be foregoing their nursing career building.

According to Dr. Joyce Barra who is the current division chair of nursing program at this S.L.C.C. stated that economic recession provides solution in easing up the nursing shortage in the country. But Dr. Barra stated that things will be changing once the economy will be rebounding. With that, the college schools are now trying to admit several learners into their nursing program. Currently, the Salt Lake Community College got some budget in order to fund several faculty positions. As a result, they can only admit limited numbers of learners. As of now, the school is looking some other options in order to fill this need.

Last year, Salt Lake Community College had just started an online program just this last semester. Since, there are looking for some venue in changing the curriculum in order for those nursing learners who got a full time jobs be still be able to study as part time learners. Regardless of what kind of route that you’ll be taking, it’s quite necessary to first complete this number of prerequisites that includes the human anatomy and even chemistry.
