The Texas nursing field is in a fix rate. Since, the statewide of shortage nurses already moved beyond the industry standards that several years that passed according to the veteran University of Texas School of Nursing Dean who is Patricia Starck. The scenario of nursing profession are quite a challenge nowadays because its very much in need especially for the next years to come where in a lot of individuals will be going to their old age and for that its quite understandable that these individuals needs health care system or nurses in order to support their health condition. But as we can see, nursing career jobs for teaching are quite challenge. In which, there are only few nursing individuals who are opted or incline to teach because of the low salary offer that they have receive. In that case, the hospital administrator are already allowing their nurses to take some time away from their current job and do some teaching in the different nursing schools in the country. It means that the hospital administrators are already allowing some of their nurses to take part time job of being a nursing teacher in order to ease up the nursing teacher shortage.
Although, there are several individuals who take up nursing courses in the different nursing schools in the country but still some of the nursing individuals are losing their way or eventually out from their nursing profession. The coalition of nursing educators and even Texas hospital representatives are searching for a total of $75 million from its Legislature in order to go through the next years and double this number nursing graduates by this coming 2013 from 6500 to 13000. These believe that those dollars would be entirely spent from both economic and even health care views. Addressing this nursing shortage would entirely bring large economic benefits and at the same time ease up the health care situation in the different health care intuitions or hospitals. Based on the study in the Dallas Federal Reserved Bank, the Texas Medical Center already created$6 billion annual estimated expenses in order to cater the needs of hiring new nursing teachers in the different nursing educational learning institutes so that there will be several teachers who can cater the vast needs of nursing students and even incline more individuals to forego a nursing career.
