To strengthen its campaign for health education, the Laureate Education has named Dr. Francisco Gutierrez as senior vice president for health sciences and medicine.
As such, Gutierrez is expected to set example and be responsible for Laureate International Universities’ strategic leadership especially in programs for health sciences. These programs include 21 physical therapy schools, 16 nursing schools, 14 dental schools, 15 medical schools as well as more than 20 health sciences programs which will be in 30 cities around the world. Just like an online degree program, these are also expertise needed by many students of the world.
It was learned that prior to his new assignment, Dr Gutierrez served as Health Navigation LLC chief consultant. He was also an official at the Pricewaterhouse Coopers as director. He also became Harris Methodist health System president.
Douglas Becker, Laureate Education CEO said Gutierrez is an international leader recognized in health sciences and medicine. His new position is very important since the Laureate International Universities network now has over 40,000 students. They are enrolled in graduate and undergraduate studies.
Becker said Gutierrez would surely play important role in the development of studies especially in health sciences and medicine. It is also expected that the doctor as new official of the Laureate education would be initiating more programs for the welfare of the health and sciences education in the university.
Dr Gutierrez graduated from his medical degree as well as health management degree with flying colors from the University of Mexico. At John Hopkin’s University he also finished his master’s degree in health finance. These educational backgrounds are solid proof of his dedication to education especially in health and sciences, it was learned.
