Dr. Wanda Stutts, ASU nursing department chair said the nursing department is happy to have achieved such accreditation and it also shows the faculty’s commitment to excellence both academically and as a service to community efforts to help improve the health care needs of this part in North Carolina.
The CCNE accreditation, it was learned, is in accordance with a nationally-recognized body which adheres to standards especially in accreditation matters.
Meanwhile, the nursing shortage in the US is now gradually solve and given attention by many states, with the opening of many programs that would invite more students in America to take up nursing as a profession in the future.
The shortage in nursing was initially solved in the last few years by accepting professional nurses to work in the US for higher salary offers. This also resulted with many countries opening nursing schools because of the demand in the US. However, with the new campaigns in most nursing schools in the US territory, it is also expected that more nursing graduates would be employed in the next few years that are really from students living in America. This means the demand in Asia for nursing graduates, as well as in other countries of the world is also expected to slow down with the entry of these future nursing graduates.
Just like the military school, the nursing profession is also one of the best careers today in many parts of the globe and each country basically needs more health care professionals to serve people in the communities.
