There are now several courses in the nursing profession that are considered “hottest courses” in the US because many students are fascinated to enroll. These courses are not even available in many countries of the world because they are basically new degrees incorporated in the nursing profession. However, many private schools in the US and other progressive countries of the world are now offering these. This means graduates of these courses have good chances of easily landing a job because there are only few graduates and the competition during hiring made by private companies are not strong enough.The following are the so-called hot degrees in the nursing profession which are now enjoyed by many American and international students. This means these are really good programs offered in nursing.

Forensic nursing
Forensic nursing study basically deals on the immediate treatment of assault victims, appearance in court room testimony and investigations to be conducted in the scenes of the crimes committed. These are the so-called main functions and responsibilities of forensic nurses. If you are a professional forensic nurse you can work in law enforcement agencies, specialized hospital units, medical examiners office. The program will give registered nurses more information and knowledge in scientific, legal and psychological aspects in the profession in forensic nursing. This means this is not the normal registered nurse we can see in hospitals and nursing homes taking care of the patients. They have more in depth knowledge because they can even work in law enforcement agencies as case investigators.

Though this is only a certificate program in nursing but this is also among the hottest careers in the US because this is among the newest programs in the nursing profession. In this program, registered nurses are only needed to add some marketable legal knowledge and skills that would allow them opportunities to work in law firms. This is not also the typical nurses working in hospitals and nursing homes. Their main duties and responsibilities as legal nurses include analyze medical records, conduct legal and medical research, interview and find witness that are considered reliable and expert witnesses. They also assist lawyers during trials and pre-trials knowing their expertise as legal nurses.
