The issue of nursing shortage have continually spreading across the region and places in the United States. Just like the case in Maryland, in which the supply rate of the nurse in their area can’t meet the booming population rate of the people living. This concept was according to the report of the Maryland Hospital Association. It was also projected that the shortage of nursing supply will continually grow to 10,000 over the next ten years if the shortage case will not but resolve earlier. The Maryland Hospital Association suggested idea for increase in nursing schools and training more faculty members of in the field of nursing. As well, the state should help in realizing this idea by proving some budget upon the establishment of nursing schools and training more educators for the nursing school.

In that matter, some educational institution in Maryland responded on the idea that was presented by the Maryland Hospital Association. The School of Nursing joins forces to the CafeFirst BlueCross BlueShield in order to develop regional scholarships that will the help in producing nursing educators or professor. In which, a certain graduate in nursing degree will be given to avail an scholarship program for another two years of learning for higher education in the nursing field. In which, the agency will cover its educational finances. After two years of learning, the nurses will automatically become a professor in the field of nursing. As well, the University of Maryland and John Hopkins put emphases upon the idea of developing and strengthening the nursing educators or professors. In which, it helps a lot to obtain a quality of education to nursing students. As a result, it strengthens the training team of nursing despite of their small population rate.

Another strategy was created is the establishment of nursing school to the different areas in the Maryland. In which, it will give venue to the students to pursue a career education in the field of nursing. In that matter the Maryland Higher Education Commission approved the newly established school of nursing in Morgan State University. As well, the governmental institution in Maryland also provided some financial support to the students who will pursue a nursing degree. The Government of Maryland will be releasing a $ 10 million dollars a year in order provide scholarships and grants for students who will be pursuing a nursing job in the future. This financial support is really great help to the students who don’t have much money to spend in their educational learning.

These different strategies help in strengthening the foundation of nursing field and somehow increase the numbers of individuals who wants to pursue a nursing career. In which, it will be a great help to cope up the demand of nursing supply in the medical institutions in the United States especially in Maryland.
